Parking in South Shields: the seafront car parks

The council runs the car parks along Sea Road and the promenade. A foreshore ticket is valid in the other designated foreshore car parks, so you can move along the front without paying twice. It is not valid in town-centre car parks. (South Tyneside Council: The Dragon, Bents Park car park; South Tyneside Council: South Shields seafront car parks; checked 3 Nov 2026)
